NEMA 6 & NEMA 6P Enclosures With External Flanges

Amphibian Series Enclosures

Sparton's amphibian line of enclosures are designed to meet either NEMA type 6 or NEMA type 6P depending on your requirements. This is the most economical design because of the efficient method used to fabricate the enclosure, but more importantly it is what we have eliminated from fabrication that has the most impact. By keeping the bolt pattern on the outside of the enclosure, or more specifically, not penetrating into the sealed surface we have eliminated costly water tight welding around the fasteners.

All Amphibian enclosures come standard with:

  • Box
  • Bolt on lid
  • Bolts for Lid
  • One piece gasket (not seamed segments)

Optional features are:

  • Mounting brackets or feet (as shown)
  • Hinges to convert lid to a door
  • Custom holes, cut-outs, and features (such as lifting hooks, shown)

Note: Our designs are factory certified to meet the NEMA 6 and 6P requirements, but Sparton does not certify any requested modifications from the standard design as fabricated by Sparton or modified by customer or customer's agents.

Weld Hinges

These hinges are designed to fit on the side of all Amphibion enclosures. One hinge is shown below, but typically a hinged Amphibion enclosure will use two or more sets.
